Hot Chocolate for your Soul

Hot chocolate is one of the most consumed beverages and has an emotional connection to almost everyone. I personally love a steaming hot cup of cocoa and a good book to go along with it. 

But when you are eating for your hormones, your menstrual health, your fertility you definitely do not want your cup filled with processed stuff and especially a lot of sugar. 

This is my version of Hot chocolate for your soul. Where you can have it with coffee or without or add any herbal alternative and it tastes as delicious as ever. 

The recipe for the same ( 1 cup proportion )

  • 2 tbsp raw organic cocoa powder

  • 3 tbsp organic coconut milk

  • 1 scoop collagen

  • 1 espresso shot ( organic coffee ) - optional

  • 1 tsp Chaga mushroom ( optional )

  • And fill with hot water.

Mix everything and enjoy the frothiest and creamiest hot chocolate ever. 


Note - If you are having it as a mid-morning snack add coffee ( if you can tolerate it). Post 2 pm, no caffeine, but add in some dandy blend or Chaga mushroom elixir for the extra bitterness. You can have it just like that without coffee as well. 

Now how is this beneficial - 

Cocao is a high source of Magnesium, which is an essential mineral for the body. Especially during periods or preconception phase. But it’s also important if you are someone who is stressed, either for the holidays or work or just how the situation in the world is today. This is great for postpartum women to improve their milk supply ( if lactating), help in relaxing the stressed muscles.

Magnesium is the new fad, for better sleep. So why not enjoy this mineral in the form of your favorite cozy drink.

Coconut milk - is high in fats, which helps in keeping the body satiated and blood sugar balanced. 

Collagen is great protein addition that is important for your beautiful skin and hair.
